IOSCO consultation on cross-border Regulations

On 11/25, 2014  IOSCO issued  a very unusual consultation report on cross-border Regulations (comments may be submitted before 2/23, 2015). The oddity comes from the fact that, contrary to the normal uses, this consultation proposes no questions for the market participants to ask.

The FSB publishes its first annual Report

On January 29th, 2015, the FSB published its first annual report.

The FSB publishes 4th Global Shadow-Banking Monotoring report.

The Financial Stability Board (FSB) is publishing today its fourth annual Global Shadow Banking Monitoring Report. The report presents data as of end-2013 from 25 jurisdictions and the euro area as a whole, covering about 80% of global GDP and 90% of global financial system assets.

A must read: the FSB issues today a Report on Structural Banking Reform.

This is an extremely precious and interesting paper reflecting the situation of the structural Banking Reform in all the major jurisdictions and cross-jurisdictions.

EMIR, and the LEI: ESMA reasserts that no other code is acceptable for the reporting to the TRs

ESMA has issued a Q&A dated February 11th.

The question 10 (b) “What code should be used to identify counterparties (LEIs, interim LEIs or couterparties)?” attracts the same invariable answer: a pre-LEI issued by any of the endorsed pre-LOUS of the GLEIS.

Pleasenote the term of “endorsed” referring to the LOUs.
