EMIR, and the LEI: ESMA reasserts that no other code is acceptable for the reporting to the TRs

ESMA has issued a Q&A dated February 11th.

The question 10 (b) “What code should be used to identify counterparties (LEIs, interim LEIs or couterparties)?” attracts the same invariable answer: a pre-LEI issued by any of the endorsed pre-LOUS of the GLEIS.

Pleasenote the term of “endorsed” referring to the LOUs.
